I wanted to say hi and introduce myself to this great community. I just found it and am very excited! I had lap RNY surgery on 4-19-06 so am a little over 5 months out. I am down 90 lbs so far and have about 100-120 or so to go (depending on which goal I look at, mine or my doctor's). I don't regret this decision I've made for a second, and have to remind myself not to look back at the past and think of all the time I wasted being morbidly obese.
My biggest challenges right now are getting in enough protein, cutting down on the snacking, and being more motivated about exercise! I try so hard to get in about 45-50g of protein per day, but it's hard. I also get sick of thinking about it so much.
I hope to learn lots here, and gain some well-needed advice and encouragement from all you post-opers as well.
This community is here to provide a resource for those who want to embrace a healthier wls lifestyle.
So in the past few weeks I've been thinking about restarting my diet a little. I feel like I've come to a stand still with things. So I started today back on the full liquids. Next week I'll go soft food and then the week after that I'll start on real food again. Hopefully that will jump start things alittle.
